PORT ANGELES — For the eighth consecutive year, Olympic Medical Home Health has been recognized as one of the top home health agencies in the nation.
Olympic Medical Center announced last Thursday that its Medicare-certified, state-licensed home health agency has achieved HomeCare Elite status, making it one of the top 500 agencies in the nation.
Olympic Medical Home Health is one of 10 agencies in the nation to make the top 500 or better each year since the award’s inception. It made the top 100 four times.
“We take enormous pride in achieving the Top 500 HomeCare Elite every year,” said Fran Sisson, Olympic Medical Home Health administrator.
“Only nine other home health agencies in the country have accomplished this, and we know in order for us to continue this legacy, we cannot take it for granted.”
Sisson added: “The team at Olympic Medical Home Health works tremendously hard to offer this valuable service to our community with the highest level of quality, safety and expertise. The HomeCare Elite award, along with the measures it evaluates, validates our efforts.”
Olympic Medical Home Health is one of just three agencies in Washington to receive top 500 recognition this year and the only one in
Western Washington.
“Our home health agency is simply one of the best in the state and the country in providing great care to patients,” said Eric Lewis, Olympic Medical Center chief executive officer.
Nearly 10,000 agencies nationwide are considered for the HealthCare Elite.
Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best-practice implementation, patient experience, quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance, OMC officials said.
