PORT ANGELES — Olympic National Park has named a woman with more than 25 years of National Park Service experience as its new deputy superintendent.
Sue McGill, currently the chief of maintenance at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, replaces former Assistant Superintendent Roger Rudolph, who retired in February.
“Sue brings a tremendous breadth and variety of experience to Olympic,” Park Superintendent David Morris said Friday.
McGill will begin her new position at the end of October, overseeing day-to-day park operations including education, visitor protection, resources management, administration and maintenance, park spokeswoman Barb Maynes said.
