Olympic National Park: “Friends group” organizes tonight

A meeting to organize a new group called Friends of Olympic National Park will be held at 7 p.m. tonight in the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

This group would function as a support organization for the park, from collecting local feedback about park activities to handling various park projects to helping coordinate visitor activities.

“If you’re interested in the park, come to this meeting — this group would give local residents an opportunity to be more engaged in park activities,” said park Superintendent David Morris.

Former Northland Television News anchorman Dennis Bragg will lead the discussion.
