PORT ANGELES — Olympic National Park officials want to add two buildings and more parking at the its headquarters.
The proposed expansion would include single-story office and laboratory buildings and an associated parking area.
The new facilities will be located on a 3-acre area in the southwest corner of the park’s 38-acre headquarters complex at 600 E. Park Ave.
The site is located within the park’s boundary, just east of the intersection of Regent Street and Viewcrest Avenue.
Construction of the facilities would be phased, with development of the office building and parking lot to begin as early as spring 2003 and laboratory construction anticipated to begin in five years.
