Two hikers who didn’t complete a planned trip across Olympic National Park were located by searchers Thursday afternoon about eight miles from the Obstruction Point trailhead.
Laurie Rich, 50, of Seattle and Debbie Rennick, 52, of Renton were “tired and hungry,” but otherwise alright, when located near Grand Pass, according to Bill Laitner, Olympic National Park superintendent.
Laitner said he didn’t have the details about the womens’ ordeal and said they’d asked park officials to keep reporters away from them.
One of the women suffered a broken finger.
