OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Officials have ordered a third helicopter to battle the Griff fire, which grew to 475 acres by Thursday evening.
If weather allows today, two helicopters will continue to dump thousands of gallons of water while the third aircraft is being delivered.
A 10 mph wind from the east at about 5 p.m. Thursday fanned the fire causing it to spread, said park spokeswoman Barb Maynes.
Winds are a concern for park officials.
