OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Despite two days of rain in the Olympic Mountains, the Griff Peak fire still isn’t out.
Park spokeswoman Barb Maynes said officials estimate the fire has covered 795 acres.
She said about a half-inch of rain was recorded at Hurricane Ridge on Monday and Tuesday morning, but noted it would take a considerable amount of rain to completely put the fire out.
