Olympic National Park: Woman killed when Jeep plummets off Hurricane Ridge Road

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — A Port Angeles man is being held in Clallam County jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide after a 21-year-old passenger in his vehicle was killed in a roll-over crash early Saturday morning on Hurricane Ridge Road.

Port Angeles resident Crystal R. Tetrick, 21, was thrown from the 1992 Jeep Wrangler when it rolled down a 25-foot vertical slope and came to rest on its wheels, Olympic National Park spokeswoman Barb Maynes said.

Two witnesses to the accident attempted cardipulmonary on Tetrick, but she was pronounced dead on scene, Maynes said.

The other passengers — Port Angeles residents Dondi Munson, 24, and Margaret A. Albright, 21 — and the vehicle’s driver, 26-year-old Arian K. Goodson, were not injured.

Federal charges are pending against Goodson, who was driving the vehicle on National Park Service land but was arrested Saturday by Clallam County sheriff’s deputies.
