SEQUIM – Olympic Medical Center will hold an open house in its newly expanded cancer center from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
The facility, recently renamed the Thomas Family Cancer Center, is at 844 N. Fifth Ave.
The agenda includes recognition of donors by OMC Administrator Eric Lewis, tours of the center and an opportunity to meet major donors, physicians, representatives from the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and staff.
“Many people have contributed to make this comprehensive cancer center a reality,” said Lewis.
“We are especially appreciative of community members Rand and Darlene Thomas, Bill and Esther Littlejohn and Primo Construction for their generous donations.”
The expanded center includes medical oncology – chemotherapy and infusion services – which Olympic Medical previously offered only in Port Angeles.
Dr. Thomas Kummet is medical director of medical oncology. Dr. Robert Witham is associate medical director of medical oncology.
Radiation oncologists include Dr. Clare Bertucio, medical director of the cancer center, and Dr. Heath Foxlee.
