PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Center has promoted Heather Delplain to director of human resources, OMC officials announced last week.
Delplain has 24 years of human resources experience and has worked in OMC’s human resources department for 16 years, having joined the organization in 2003 as a human resources analyst.
She has excelled in a number of human resources roles including benefits, compensation, leaves, Labor & Industries claims, employee safety and employee relations, OMC officials said.
Most recently her efforts have focused on intentional culture, wellness and employee engagement.
“Heather embodies OMC’s core values, and this is a well-deserved recognition of her talent, knowledge and dedication to our organization,” said Jennifer Burkhardt, chief human resources officer and general counsel.
“I am so proud to promote her to director, and we are thrilled in HR to recognize Heather for her contributions. We are excited for the future with her leadership and energy.”
Delplain has a double major from Washington State University in business management and fine arts.
OMC also recently promoted Tammy Hueter to supervisor of talent acquisition in recognition of her increasing responsibility and success in recruitment over the past three years.
“Tammy is respected by leaders and staff for her efficiency and effectiveness,” Burkhardt said. “She is an exceptional representative of the OMC way, our intentional culture of teamwork and compassion.”
