PORT TOWNSEND — A Port Townsend man was transported to Jefferson Healthcare following a collision on state Highway 20 at Eaglemount Road.
Abraham M. Christian, 35, was stopped on westbound Highway 20 in a 2013 Subaru Forester about 3:42 p.m. Monday, attempting to turn left onto Eaglemount Road, when his vehicle was struck by a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup that was also traveling westbound, the State Patrol said.
Gary W. Jensen, 77, of Sequim, the driver of the Dodge Ram, was cited for driving while dangerously distracted, the State Patrol said.
Christian was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Jefferson Healthcare with injuries, the State Patrol said.
Jensen was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, troopers said.
The Dodge Ram had reportable damage but was driven from the scene while the Subaru Forester was totally destroyed and towed from the scene, the State Patrol said.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, troopers said.
