THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE of free outdoor music on the North Olympic Peninsula continues with:
■ NEW! FORT FLAGLER SUMMER CONCERTS — Saturday at 5 p.m., Badd Dog Blues Society (up-tempo ensemble), Fort Flagler State Park.
This year’s three-concert series, sponsored by the Friends of Fort Flagler, continues Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 31. Food and beverages will be available for sale. Fort Flagler is at 10541 Flagler Road on Marrowstone Island.
No Discovery Pass is needed.
Aug. 23 concert: Joy in Mudville (formerly known as Deadwood Revival; old-time bluegrass, jam-band, Motown, rock, funk, blues).
■ PORT TOWNSEND SUMMER BAND — Sunday, July 27, at 3 p.m. in the gazebo at Chetzemoka Park, Jackson and Blaine streets.
This concert, organized with the Jefferson County Historical Society, will feature music that “relates directly to the community,” including the “Key City Parade March,” written by Port Townsend resident Clyde Peach, and a souvenir program with photographs and historical information as well as musical program notes.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets, family and a picnic.
