PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College will host its inaugural Open Welding Day from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday.
The free tour is in the college’s welding shop in Building Q, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Attendees may watch students welding, see the new CNC plasma cutter or try their hand at welding.
The college offers an Associates of Applied Science in welding.
Graduates of the welding program have found employment in such varied locations as the Gulf of Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, the Arctic Circle, Israel, Mexico and Slovsakia, a college press release stated.
