The pancake breakfast is an important fundraiser for the PAFD Auxiliary’s community service programs:
— Scholarships for Port Angeles High School graduates interested in entering either emergency medical or fire service careers.
— Fire Relief Baskets (provides immediate essentials and personal items for fire victims such as phone cards, gift cards to area stores, toothbrushes, teddy bears and coloring books for children, and laundry soap).
— Community Outreach Services (Fire Safety Week, Red Cross, and Fire Prevention and Safety public education, along with special support for victims left with virtually nothing with clothing and temporary housing).
