PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles School District has announced that Assistant Superintendent Chuck Lisk will retire in October after more than 26 years of service.
Lisk has been the assistant superintendent for the past five years.
Lisk also served as the principal at Franklin Elementary School and Stevens Middle School.
According to a press release, Lisk has been recognized three times as regional principal of the year and in 2011 recieved the state’s Middle Level Principal of the Year award.
Lisk said, “Port Angeles has been an outstanding community to work in, raise our kids, and now retire in.”
Michelle Olson, the principal at Dry Creek Elementary School, will replace Lisk as assistant superintendent.
