PORT ANGELES — Claude Bullock says he will withdraw as executive director-designate for the Port of Port Angeles.
In an interview Sunday night with the Peninsula Daily News, Bullock, 61, said he was working on a withdrawal letter which would be sent to the Port commissioners for their meeting this morning.
“I think it’s best that I not take the position,” he said.
“I have absolutely nothing to hide, absolutely nothing, and I have a number of ideas that would help the Port, ideas that I think that no one has ever thought of.
“My wife and I like this area, and I think I could have contributed a great deal.
“But I can understand community’s concerns.
“And if the community can’t forgive, or work with me, so be it. It’s best that we go our separate ways.”
