PORT ANGELES — A meeting to focus local peace movement efforts is scheduled in the Raymond Carver Room of the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
“Everyone is welcome — all ages, all races, all religions, all liberals and conservatives, come help us build lasting peace,” said the meeting’s organizer, Bernice L. Roebuck of Port Angeles.
“We want to end the bickering between parties . . . . [and save] the lives of our precious young men and women and help us get rid of our tremendous debt and improve our economy.”
Roebuck, a regular contributor to the Peninsula Daily News’ Peninsula Voices letters to the editor column, will be assisted at the meeting by Tom Utley of Port Angeles and Clint Jones of Sequim.
For more information, phone Roebuck at 360-457-1283.
