PORT HADLOCK — An unidentified pedestrian was injured when she was struck by a car in front of the QFC grocery store at about 6 p.m. today.

he pedestrian suffered two compound fractures and at 6:30 p.m. today was being prepared to be flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said Bill Beezley, East Jefferson Fire Rescue spokesman.
The driver of the car — who also was unidentified — suffered chest pain and was being evaluated, Beezley said.
When she was hit, the pedestrian was on the sidewalk in front of the store at 1890 Irondale Road, Beezley said, adding that he had no more information at the time.
