Call them crazy.
Why not? That’s how those brave souls who take the annual New Year’s plunge into the chilly waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca or Mystery Bay refer to themselves.
And on Tuesday they will again greet the new year in Port Angeles and Nordland with a dip in the icy waters.
“I thought I was crazy, and I still am,” said Port Angeles resident Bobbi Croxford, who will make her 11th jump in the Polar Dip next week at Hollywood Beach.
“OK, I’m insane,” she conceded.
More than 40 people rushed the beach at the annual event last Jan. 1, and 135 made a traditional jump into Mystery Bay on Marrowstone Island.
