Peninsula College participates in an international exchange program by sending college leaders and professors to China.
The college began the exchange program in 1996 by sending late college president Wally Sigmar and board of trustee member Karen Gates Hildt to Hebei, China, to sign a formal agreement between Peninsula College and Hebei Teachers College, said college spokeswoman Phyllis van Holland.
Peninsula College then sent three faculty members to the China, who taught at least one class for one academic quarter, van Holland said.
In exchange, professors from China taught courses at Peninsula College.
