Peninsula: College opens fall semester today

Today is the first day of fall quarter classes at Peninsula College.

The school has campuses in Port Angeles at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., and at extension sites in Port Townsend at Fort Worden State Park and in Forks at Forks Avenue and A Street.

The last day to register for fall quarter is Oct. 7, except for late starting and open entry classes.

The last day of the quarter is Dec. 15.

The school enrolled 10,500 students in 2003-04, the last year catalogued on its Web site.

The count includes 40 percent part-time students and 60 percent full-time students.
