PORT ANGELES — An umbrella group that coordinates economic development efforts in Clallam and Jefferson counties has received a $56,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The Peninsula Development Association, based in Port Angeles, will use the money to update and implement a “comprehensive economic development strategy” for projects that attract private investment and create high wage jobs.
“I think it’s terrific that the federal government is sending us money,” said Marny Hannan, PDA president.
Hannan is also the executive director of the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce.
