North Olympic Peninsula residents eligible for tax rebates will start getting them during the week of July 23, Internal Revenue Service officials announced Tuesday.
Officials said the rebate distribution schedule is based on the last two digits of social security numbers.
Eligible taxpayers with social security numbers ending in 00 to 09 should get rebate checks the week of July 23; 10 to 19, July 30; 20 to 29, Aug. 6; 30 to 39, Aug. 13; 40 to 49, Aug. 20; 50 to 59, Aug. 27; 60 to 69, Sept. 3; 70 to 79, Sept. 10; 80 to 89, Sept. 17, and 90 to 99, Sept. 24.
Rebates will be a maximum of $300 for a single taxpayer, $500 for head of household, and $600 for a married couple filing a joint return.
Not all taxpayers will receive a rebate check.
