Peninsula: Filings for political office start Monday

PENINSULA DAILY NEWS

People seeking public office in Clallam and Jefferson counties can officially file beginning Monday.

In Clallam County, there are 46 positions open, all non-partisan, including two unexpired one-year terms for county assessor and treasurer.

In Jefferson County, there are 44 posts up for grabs, including a partisan race for county clerk.

In both counties, the list of open positions includes seats on port, hospital, city, water, park, fire and school district boards and commissions.
