Drivers continue digging deeper in their wallets to pay for a tank of gasoline, but relief might be right around the corner.
Or after the Labor Day weekend.
A survey of North Olympic Peninsula outlets on Thursday showed unleaded regular cost between $1.879 and $2.119 a gallon.
There was only one outlet where a premium grade of gasoline cost less than $2 and that one was at $1.999 a gallon.
The Shell station at Fifth and Lincoln streets in Port Angeles continued to have the highest prices for all grades of gasoline with unleaded regular selling for $2.119 a gallon; unleaded plus for $2.239 and unleaded premium for $2.359.
Only one station had lowered its prices between Wednesday and Thursday.
