A Head Start director for Clallam and Jefferson counties recently attended a national seminar to learn how to improve the program.
Janet Anderson, 49, of Marrowstone Island, said the program was geared toward instructing professionals how to improve strategic plans and run a successful Head Start.
Anderson is the head of Early Child Services for Olympic Community Action Programs, which provides services for about 400 children from low-income Peninsula families each year.
Early Child Services consists of two programs — Head Start and Early Childhood.
