A Makah Indian teen-ager who lives in Kingston has won a chance to become Miss Washington America.
Jessica Greene won the title “Miss All-Nations 2001″‘ in February, receiving a $2,500 scholarship to the college of her choice.
The Miss All Nations Scholarship program is a not-for-profit organization that supports young women in voicing their opinions on culture, politics and the community.
Greene said Sunday she intends to use the money to start a real estate business after attending community college, then university.
The scholarship also gives Greene a chance to compete in the Miss Washington America pageant, set to run from July 5 to July 7 at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma.
