Five primary election races hang in the balance in Clallam County with more than 4,200 ballots to be counted Friday afternoon.
With only a “handful” of votes remaining to be counted in Jefferson County, no significant changes in Tuesday night’s results are expected.
Voters in the Port Ludlow and Chimacum fire districts approved permanent emergency medical services levies, and in Gardiner-area Fire Protection District No. 5 incumbent commissioner Randy Okerman and challenger Barb Knoepfle were picked to advance to the Nov. 6 general election.
In Clallam County, primary race elections were held Tuesday for Port Angeles City Council Position 2, Port of Port Angeles District 1 commissioner, Clallam County Conservation District supervisor, Olympic Memorial Hospital District 3 Position 1 commissioner and Sequim-area Clallam County Fire Protection District 3 Position 1 commissioner.
The top two vote-getters in each primary race will advance to the Nov. 6 general election ballot.
