PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Center officials say a report by a Puget Sound newspaper proves central Olympic Peninsula residents don’t need to look beyond OMC to receive high-quality care.
The Port Angeles-based hospital received higher quality rankings than any of the 10 Puget Sound hospitals mentioned in a story published last week by the (Everett) Herald.
Olympic Medical Center received a perfect score of 100 during the inspection by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations last year and a deficiency-free survey from the state Department of Health in 2001.
Hospital Administrator Mike Glenn and spokeswoman Rhonda LoPresti both applauded the Herald for using state and federal inspection results to compare hospitals.
