Makah tribal canoeists will lead more than 25 canoes from Northwest and First Nations tribes participating in the 2003 Paddle Journey to Clallam Bay today.
The canoeists will leave Neah Bay at 6 a.m. and arrive at Slip Point at about noon for an overnight stop.
The Clallam Bay-Sekiu Chamber of Commerce made a monetary contribution to support the cost of feeding visitors.

As many as 80 canoes carrying tribal members from 40 tribes are expected in the Paddle Journey, which is due to end July 28 on the Tulalip Reservation near Marysville.
