Peninsula: “Yule” like the Christmas Day weather!

If your Christmas wish is sunny weather for the North Olympic Peninsula, your wish has been granted.

Mostly sunny skies were forecast by the National Weather Service on Sunday night for Christmas Day across the North Olympic Peninsula.

In fact, sunshine will bathe all of Western Washington on the holiday except for some morning fog, weather forecasters said.

Nighttimes will be chilly, with overnight lows below freezing in many areas.

A mix of clouds and daytime sunshine — and freezing or subfreezing overnight temperatures — are forecast for the balance of this week.
