PEO chapter plans bazaar this Saturday

SEQUIM — Crafts, gifts, used books and baked goods made by members of Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Chapter JC will be on sale at the group’s bazaar Saturday (Nov. 2).

Raffle tickets are $1, sold at the bazaar. The winning ticket will be drawn at 1 p.m., and the winner need not be present.

PEO, with more than 238,000 members, has been a “pioneering force for women’s education” since 1869 with six philanthropies that include ownership of Cottey College for women (Nevada, Missouri) and five programs that provide higher educational assistance through grants, loans and scholarships.
