Incoming Clallam County Superior Court Judge Brent Basden is helped with his judge’s robe by his children Nathan, 12, Hannah, 15, Daniel, 17, and Emily, 22, after Basden was officially sworn in Wednesday in Port Angeles.
Basden, who served as a full-time court commissioner, was appointed by Gov. Jay Inslee to fill the remaining two years of the term of Judge Chris Melly, who resigned Dec. 31.
He was installed to the post by state Supreme Court Judge Susan Owens, who administered the oath of office.
