In a taste of what’s to come, a maple tree in front of the Olympic National Park visitor center reveals the reds of approaching autumn Tuesday in Port Angeles.

Fall officially begins at 6:54 p.m. on Saturday, but leaves are already beginning to turn in many areas of the North Olympic Peninsula.
