PORT ANGELES — A pavement grinder creates clouds of dust as work begins to repave Lauridsen Boulevard in Port Angeles on Tuesday evening.
Crews from Lakeside Industries spent Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning grinding down the old road surface in the eastbound lane from Lincoln Street to Lauridsen Court near Peabody Street with westbound grinding planned for Wednesday night.
Asphalt laying is scheduled for the overnight hours today, Friday and Monday.
Also included in the $933,105 project are left turn lanes at Peabody Street, improved crosswalks with choker islands and other measures.
