PORT ANGELES — Tammy Gallagher of the Soroptimist International of Port Angeles Noon Club ties pink ribbons along First Street in downtown Port Angeles to kick off the annual Pink Up Port Angeles fundraising campaign to support cancer patients on the North Olympic Peninsula through Operation Uplift.
Included in the weeklong effort are a Wednesday bake sale and raffle at Swain’s General Store, 602 E. First St., in Port Angeles, and a charity golf tournament Friday at Peninsula Golf Club.
Also on Wednesday, the club will “Pink Up the Pier” during Concerts on the Pier with a booth offering information about cancer prevention and treatment at City Pier beginning at 6 p.m.
