PORT TOWNSEND — The city of Port Townsend has closed the intersection of Quincy and Washington Streets downtown for road repair work through Friday.
This is part of the Jefferson Street Sidewalk project that extends to the intersection of Jefferson and Taylor Streets uptown.
The intersection was found to be deficient. Although not part of the original bid, crews dug it up and are replacing the road bed. Conduit has been buried for future use. Work typically occurs between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
