SEQUIM — A Mason County man was treated and discharged from Olympic Medical Center after the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a ditch along U.S. Highway 101 in Sequim on Wednesday, the State Patrol said.
Roy R. Nettlebeck, 74, of Tahuya was headed eastbound when the 1986 Toyota pickup left the roadway to the right, overcorrected and crossed the westbound lane near Whitefeather Way, according to a State Patrol collision memo.
The vehicle came to a rest in the westbound ditch, troopers said.
Nettlebeck was transported to OMC in Port Angeles. He had been treated and released as of Thursday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Nettlebeck was wearing a seat belt, and drugs or alcohol were not involved, troopers said.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
Highway traffic was reduced to a single lane near Whitefeather Way from about 3:35 p.m. to 4:07 p.m., the state Department of Transportation said.
