PORT ANGLES — A Port Angeles man was taken to Olympic Medical Center after a single-car wreck Saturday morning.
James E. Vess, 58, was not listed in the patient census on Sunday, a hospital spokesperson said.
The State Patrol said Vess drifted off U.S. Highway 101 east of Dryke Road at about 7:10 a.m. Saturday.
The Ford F15 pickup he was driving went onto the right shoulder, struck a light pole, hit a ditch, overturned and came to rest on the roadway on its side, troopers said.
No drugs or alcohol were involved, said the State Patrol, which also reported he was not wearing a seat belt.
He was cited for negligent driving.
