Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County will host its 37th Polar Bear Dip at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hollywood Beach in Port Angeles.
The annual event was started by Dan Welden to help raise funds for the organization.
Hot drinks, tasty muffins, a crackling fire and participation certificates will be available.
Participants can donate online at www. volunteerhospice.org, at the event or by stopping by the hospice offices at 829 E. Eighth St., Port Angeles.

On Marrowstone Island, plungers will jump off the Nordland General Store dock at noon.
The store will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
