FORKS –– Police are pursuing leads as they try to find suspects from the Aug. 20 burglary and stabbing at the Native to Twilight business at 10 Forks Ave.
Police Administrator Rick Bart said officers have contacted people they think may know the two male assailants who walked into the store dressed in black and slashed an employee with a knife, knocked her to the ground and kicked her before leaving with $1,400 from the cash register.
Store owner Anna Matsche is offering a reward for information.
That reward has grown to $1,575 thanks to donations from the Forks business community.
The robbers were described as an adult with a large build and standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall with broad shoulders, shoulder-length black hair visible under the ski mask and dark-brown eyes.
He was joined by a thin-built teenager standing 5 feet, 2 inches tall, also with dark-brown eyes.
Native to Twilight specializes in merchandise related to the series of novels by Stephenie Meyer and movies based on the novels, as well as Native American art and clothing items.
Anyone with information on the robbery and assault is asked to phone the Forks Police Department at 360-374-2223.
