PORT TOWNSEND — The investigation into a mystery crime scene on Rosecrans Street is on hold.
A trailer removed from a location at 909 Rosecrans St., which Port Townsend Police Department officers and State Patrol investigators have combed and sampled for clues, is sitting in a city lot while the state crime lab processes results.
“Portions of the trailer have been sent to the state lab,” said Port Townsend Police Sg.t Ed Green.
“They are trying to determine if the samples are blood, human, anything.”
Results from the lab aren’t expected for another month, Green said.
The nature of the investigation remains unknown, since authorities have kept tight-lipped on several details of the case.
“We’re still trying to establish what happened at the trailer,” Green said. “We haven’t ruled anything out.”
Green has said that the trailer could have been the scene of a violent crime.
