PORT ANGELES — A man police believe robbed the Fairmount Grocery Store at gunpoint in April is being held on unrelated charges on the Chehalis tribal reservation.
Deputy Police Chief Brian Smith said it will be up to the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to determine when Nicholas Jay Sullivan, 24, will be brought to Port Angeles to face charges of first-degree armed robbery.
A robber armed with a rifle entered the store at 1137 W. U.S. Highway 101 in west Port Angeles at 10:40 p.m. on April 18 and made off the money from the register.
He was wearing dark clothes with a mask covering the lower portion of his face.
The amount stolen has not been disclosed.
