PORT ANGELES — Minimizing the effect on elementary school students if and when the Port Angeles School Board opts to close a school was a main concern among parents and district employees at a public forum Thursday night.
About 60 people gathered into small groups in the Port Angeles High School library to review nine proposed options for meeting a $300,000 budget deficit within the school district.
Most agreed that the School Board taking no action is not an option, and many urged board members to take time to carefully consider their options.
