PORT ANGELES — A $836,000 expansion of the stormwater system at William R. Fairchild International Airport later this summer will allow construction of a new terminal access road and other development, Port of Port Angeles commissioners were told Monday.
“This is a complicated project. I’m looking forward to moving ahead with it,” Airport Manager Jeff Robb told the commissioners at their Monday meeting.
Expanding the treatment system for drainage water will allow development of a new terminal access road in 2003 as well as development contained in Port’s airport master plan, he said.
The stormwater project should take about 60 working days once the work begins in about three weeks, Robb said.
