PORT ANGELES — The City Council probably won’t consider an annexation recommendation for a few more months, City Manager Michael Quinn told an audience at the final annexation forum Thursday night at Roosevelt Middle School.
Port Angeles officials are studying annexation of unincorporated residential and commercial areas of Clallam County between the city’s eastern boundary and Morse Creek.
The area includes several car dealerships, Wal-Mart, Les Schwab and the new Safeway shopping complex. It also includes the Gales Addition, Bay Loop and Mount Pleasant neighborhoods.
When the city began its series of annexation outreach forums, Quinn had hoped to bring an annexation recommendation to the City Council by February.
