PORT ANGELES — The city of Port Angeles on Monday lifted a precautionary boil-water notice for the area east of Golf Course Road.
Satisfactory water test results warranted the lifting of the notice, which was issued Thursday after a water main break.
“The water is safe to drink and use,” city officials said Monday.
The precautionary boil-water notice was issued out of an abundance of caution for areas where the water pressure dropped below required levels due to the water main break, city officials said.
Samples taken in the area were tested and verified that the water is safe to drink.
Residents were notified Monday morning with information on door hangers placed at affected homes.
