PORT ANGELES — Chamber of Commerce officials are looking for the public to support their efforts to improve this year’s Independence Day celebration.
That support comes in two forms — monetary contributions for fireworks and participation.
According to Chamber Executive Director Russ Veenema, fireworks this year will cost $15,000.
In order to raise enough money to pay for the fireworks, Veenema and other Chamber officials will take to the airwaves Tuesday to ask for contributions.
