PORT ANGELES — The City Council will hold a special meeting on “council actions and personnel” on Monday afternoon.
City Manager Mark Madsen sent out a notice Saturday morning that the council would hold a special meeting to discuss those topics at 4 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The notice did not say that the council would hold an executive session, which would be closed to the public.
The state lists 13 topics as eligible for discussion in executive sessions.
Mayor Gary Braun said that he couldn’t say any more about the meeting than what was contained in the meeting notice.
City Councilman Don Perry said he was not “at liberty to say” what the council would talk about.
“It’s something we need to discuss,” he said.
“I wish I could say more.”
City Councilwoman Karen Rogers and City Councilman Larry Williams both said special meetings are called by the mayor, and referred all comment on it to him.
