PORT ANGELES — A proposal has resurfaced to extend the city’s urban growth boundary from Morse Creek to the Deer Park area, including several residential areas.
“We’re aware of the city’s desire to do that — that’s been the case for several years,” said Clallam County Administrator Dan Engelbertson.
“Whether it happens is a matter for down the road,” he said.
City Community Development Director Brad Collins said several years ago the city made a formal request to the county to extend the urban growth boundary out from its current location at Morse Creek to the Deer Park area.
The area includes commercial developments such as a car dealership, a cinema complex and housing developments at Four Seasons Ranch, Four Seasons Park and Cedar Grove.
